Head Photographs, Film, Sound and Multimedia - Hans Reppin
Mr Hans Reppin has been the Head of Photographs, Film, Sound and Multimedia Services since March 2014, and manages the Multimedia and Digital Asset Management System. His background includes a diverse range of managerial positions and technical responsibilities.
Mr Reppin's specialised professional background encompasses digital preservation management, Prolab experience within the television industry (motion picture, news, traditional film base processing, exhibition and commercial print outputs), and press and production photography experience garnered over 20 years. He is applying his expertise to digital content management and preservation within a museum environment as a digital advocate and innovator.
Senior Curator - Stephanie Boyle
Stephanie Boyle joined the Memorial in 2006, having worked as an audio visual archivist since 1997, including time with the National Film and Sound Archie and the National Archives. She has deployed to the Middle East, as well as to military bases around Australia, to conduct oral history interviews with current serving Defence Force members and to develop the Memorial's National Collection. She has delivered research papers at major national conferences with a particular emphasis on oral histories and amateur film. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma (Information Studies) from University of Canberra.
Curator of Photographs - Lauren Hewitt
Lauren Hewitt has a background in photography and fine arts having completed a Bachelor of Arts (Photomedia with Honours) at the Australian National University in 2003. Lauren has always worked in collecting institutions, starting her career at the national Library of Australia (NLA) where she worked with photographic collections as well known as frank Hurley and Wolfgang Sievers; the National Museum of Australia (NMA); and at the Australian Institute of Australian and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS). In 2010 she joined the Memrorial curatorial staff and was assistant curator on the Remember Me: The Lost Diggers of Vignacourt exhibition.
