Figurine: Cameron Baird, VC, MG

Naked Army SHOP:101016779

This limited-edition figurine depicts Corporal Cameron Baird, VC, MG in his combat gear, and was inspired by the life-size bronze statue standing at Currumbin RSL. The statue was erected to honour the life and death of Cameron Baird, Australia's 100th recipient of the Victoria Cross, awarded for his heroic acts of valour and self-sacrifice whilst serving in Afghanistan.

After the official unveiling of the life-size statue, the Cams Cause Team, in partnership with Platatac and The Naked Army, commenced the journey to develop a further two statues to be sited in Melbourne and at the Holsworthy Barracks in NSW. Proceeds from the sale of these figurines will go to Cams Cause for the construction of the statues; 2nd Commando Regiment to fund new equipment and wellness camps for returned service personnel; and the Commando Welfare Trust.

Only 1,000 limited-edition figurines have been produced, and each one is accompanied by an individually-numbered pewter coin.

Cold-cast bronze figurine, 1:6 scale, height 300mm, boxed.
